2011 Coffee Party Board of Directors Election

2011 Coffee Party USA Board of Directors Election

Since its inception 20 months ago, one of the Coffee Party's fundamental goals has been to promote greater democracy - government of, for, and by the people. As part of this goal, we want to have a governing Board of Directors made up of everyday citizens who are dedicated to do hard work and make the tough decisions for the Coffee Party.

When we announced a call for nominations for nine directors for the Coffee Party board in July, we didn't know what to expect - whether we would receive 4 or 40 applications. Thirteen dedicated Coffee Party members answered the the call to leadership. After a thorough vetting process by a nine-member committee, we are delighted to introduce the following ten candidates. The vetting committee feels that all ten are well qualified to serve on the Board. We are only sorry that only nine will be seated on January 1, 2012.

The online ballot has been sent via e-mail to all dues-paying members, who became members by Oct. 16.
